In African Teen Writers Awards, African Writers Awards, Articles, Children's Literature, Creative Corner, Wakini Kuria Prize for Children's Literature

On behalf of the panel of judges, I present the winners of the African Writers Awards (AWA), the Wakini Kuria Prize for Children’s Literature, and the African Teen Writers Awards. The awards were presented at the just concluded African Writers Conference in Douala, Cameroon.

Wakini Kuria Award for Children’s Literature (1st place $200, 2nd place $150, and 3rd place $100)

  2. Siki and the Bicycle by Blessing Amatemeso (Nigeria)
  3. Grandma’s Needlework by Joshua Robertson (Ghana)
