In Creative Corner, poetry

Plunged into chaos,
it lies bleeding,
a dying paradise,
paradise lost overnight.

Besieged
hearts, feelings,
love, unity
mother’s, daughters,
everything.

The little ones,
playing in shelters,
nothing to overawe them,
instead scared, scarred

Sleeping on the floor,
with fear,
waking up to explosions;
waking up to overnight refugees.

And so defiant at all sorts of hubris,
through it all, despite it all,
the courageous try to help,
out of life and belief they laugh,
yet deep within avoiding to weep.
