About the African Teen Writers Awards

The Writers Space Africa Foundation is pleased to announce the first-of-its-kind African Teen Writers Awards. At Writers Space Africa Foundation, we believe in empowering and grooming young writers in order to motivate them towards telling their stories and dispelling false narratives about the continent.

This award is targeted at early teens between 13 to 16 years old. We accept submissions in two categories; poetry and prose. Teenagers are to send one entre per category between March 15 and July 1, 2022. The winners of each category will receive a certificate and $100.
