In Creative Corner, poetry

I desire the inestimable gem of all time
Priceless beyond worldly worth
Gold is common, so is silver
Diamond has a price I want more than this
I pleaded the astronauts to check space
They found none worth my dreams
The divers scoured the deepest and shallow part of the ocean
But pearls is of low worth to my poor heart
I dug with the farmers till white sand and water
All was vain
I begged God to grant my request,
He pointed to my gem, right beside me it has always been
The inestimable jewel of all eternity
She has no price and can’t be bought
Our love together is undiluted
Every pain she bore hidden beneath her smile
Her children her garment of pride
Like the Lioness shielding and protecting her cubs
Just like the Mother Hen, she fights fiercely for her chicks
She’s the priceless jewelry work around my neck
My mother, my pride!
