In Creative Corner, poetry

When their eyes meet
generations a century apart
conversations that ensue are
pure wonder.

The languages they speak are different
yet they seem to understand each other almost
perfectly.

Their chatter seamless
a mixture of stares and smiles and giggles
and hugs
and handshakes whose textures are separated by
decades of toil and trials
and testimonies.

Tiny year old soft palms now clasped by the
smooth wrinkles of a gray-haired matriarch.

Lineages of blessing conversing in
The present.
It is well.
