In Creative Corner, poetry

In a splash of the ocean and beauty of the beach
In a secret of the sand and thoughts of the sea
You are like this pebble, just in my reach
A great treasure, a royal gem!

Noisy gongs have surrounded us
The crushing wind, life outside the home
Rough and smooth! Tough-easy no fuss
Every run makes me think of my gem!

My tutor, prayer warrior, my ride
The ocean roars, my spirit rushes…
I am resilient, despite the tide
I have learnt from the best! Royal gem

Lie low but stay strong
In a hub of confusion, imitate the oak!
Constantly pray, do no wrong
Gratitude ma! A rock and a royal gem

I miss my younger days, I would turn the curtain
I can’t forget your embrace, my spirit rushes…
Cosy and subtle, everlasting, true and certain
I’ll always love to confirm your arrival home centrepiece, my gem.
