In Creative Corner, poetry

If melodies be your magic,
conjure a tune to which this heart could leap
maybe then would she dance her pains away.
Cast upon trees soulful lyrics
make them bend with the weight of their essence
maybe then would you write this torment right.

If nature be in the palm of your hand,
bring me the sun so in her shine I’ll bask
maybe then would her light seep into the dark pores of my being
and her heat, burn this angst to ash.

If art be your sword and shield,
make of my mind a canvas
pierce my heart with your brush
cover me in bright shades of hope and deep hues of love
maybe then would you draw these emotions to a beautiful rest.

But if all else fails,
drown me in blinding hues of ecstasy
just colour me happy
please colour me blue.
