We need to minimise how we shout the name of God… Why will some people mount big speakers with lousy voices during prayer session as if God is deaf.

We need to call our attention to this. When you are praying remember that your neighbour might be resting or studying. Don’t disturb him much. This is also applicable to the way we play music. Noise pollution destroys both the soul of people and earth.

Therefore, we need to advocate for War Against Noise Pollution (WANP). Our schools today are filled with more speakers than stickers of reason. Hence, the silence that should mark the citadel of learning has been stolen by noise. How can soul prosper or mind breathe in a noisy laboratory or library?

I suggest that we minimise the volume of sound system in churches or mosques so they don’t disturb others.

I suggest that neighbours should play their music in minimal volume that will not disturb others.
One could earpiece to enjoy his/her music

Finally, we need silence to recollect and ask pertinent questions about our existence and nation. Most useful questions arise in the silence of heart. Be silent and calm but be vigilant!!!

From a concerned humanistic philosopher and poet.
