In Creative Corner, poetry

The whole truth is this
A mother is concerned
For the well being of her children
And if she was raised how she was raised
She will find ways to tell them
in no uncertain terms.

Sometimes she becomes a prophet.
She cannot help it. Her fears speak
Loudest in her disquiet

She cannot help but let her cares drift.
Bearing too much weight at any one time
for her spine to carry alone

She has a baby on her back.
Another one she is teaching to write
These words well,
Teaching her to count up
Numbers for all their worth.

To author time; to write it well
To make wise investments
In its measure of change.

Something is boiling in the kitchen.
She must go to work tomorrow.
