In Creative Corner, poetry

When the sun goes down
All the laughter fades away,
My face on the mirror
As I prepare my armour.
Darkness has descended,
And my heart is trembling.
My mind is –
Blown, by what I’m about to face,
Because every night
Opens a battlefield in my mind.

Caged between four walls
There is no one to pretend to,
As I rest my head on the pillows…
…time flies, it is 03.00 AM
My demons are awake
Time to fight for my life!
I’m exhausted, but I’m not giving up.
When the sky turns darker,
The battle for survival starts
But when the sun comes up
The dust eventually settles!
