In Creative Corner, poetry

Happiness hoping in a heart
The silence of broken hearts.
It begins with the addition
And subtraction of words

Like a fleece of smoke
Added to the sky
A spittle of fire flying
From the mouth.

I will be strong and support you
Like the heartwood of a tree…
…the promises without anticipation
Of hurt
Left unfulfilled.
